The Plexus - Twilight Angels Bushwaka

Bushwaka, the debut album from Maybe Myrtle Tyrtle is an exciting, origional, frantic and fun slice of Rock-A-Billy Festival Folk with a cajun country vibe. Recorded at elipse studios Newcastle, this album will (maybe) draw you in to the world of Myrtle the Tyrtle.

Band Bio

Maybe Myrtle Tyrtle formed back in Newcastle, 2004, as Bo Diddely guitarist Roger James was informed of Roberto '"Mad as a Hatter" Baggio, a mysterious man from Stockport with Dylan esq licks roaming the rooftops of town. Word spread and other band members quickly followed; Joe Truswell AKA "engine room"on drums, Dave De La Haye on the bass, Peter Tickell on fiddle and Elliott Rush on the sax. .

Simple word of mouth promotion and live crowd adulation saw their debut single "I Didn't Lie" cruise to 6 in the NDN Distribution's Regional Singles Charts earlier this summer, convincing Maybe Myrtle Tyrtle to release the second single (and fan's favorite) "The Tree Song" from their debut EP Songs to Enjoy. This particular track is an all singing, all dancing rendition of the thoughts of an observant tree, swaying in the breeze of the modern world: "It's 'The Tree Song' that is a real treat and is, unsurprisingly, dedicated to those delightfully towering sculptures of nature…(Maybe Myrtle Tyrtle) fully justify their tag as the North East's very own Polyphonic spree." - The Crack, May 2007.
